Mustard Beer is a Thing Now

As if 2020 couldn't get any more bizarre, beginning August 1st, 2020 (aka National Mustard Day), mustard brand French's is releasing a mustard-flavored beer produced in collaboration with craft beer brewery Oskar Blues. The beer will be available to order through national craft beer marketplace and platform, CraftShack and will be available at select Oskar Blues Brewery taprooms in Boulder and Longmont, Colorado and Brevard, North Carolina.

Oskar Blues describes the beer as being a semi-tart wheat beer infused with citrus and French's Classic Yellow Mustard.

My thoughts?

Look, I love mustard just as much as the next guy. Slap some mustard on a juicy Chicago dog on a nice summer day (if you think New York-style hot dogs are superior, we can't be friends) and it's a match made in heaven. Nothing better. But mustard and beer mixed? No can do. And the hangovers? If I get a piercing hangover from 6 watered down Coors Lights (yeah, I said it), what are 6 mustard beers going to do to me? I foresee a 2 day hangover on the horizon. I'm gonna pass on this one.
